According to Nic, our story goes something like this:

"I gave her food, friendship, then suddenly it was 'oh wow, I'm gay,' then 'oh, we're living together,' then 'oh, we're moving out together,' then 'back home we go again,' and now onto marriage, happily ever after."

My version is a little more detailed.

Our friendship began in Grade 7, and before long, we became best friends. Over the years, we grew up together. We had our bumps in the road, but each challenge brought us back together and made us much better at communicating and working through things together.

Then one day, while I was showing Nic my tarot deck, the cards kept insisting that there was something I wasn't saying and that I should say something before it was too late. It turned out that I was hiding something, and it was that I had a very large crush on my best friend, and so I confessed, and it was more than definitely mutual

Since then, we've shared so many adventures. We moved to Ontario, spent two wonderful years there, and during our first year, around October, we got engaged. Now, almost three years later, we're preparing for our next adventure: getting married.

We are so excited to celebrate this special day with the people we love most, and we hope you'll join us as we begin this new chapter together.
